I have learned that such cosmology is Illuminati in origin and I do not want that association. I will call it The Shift.

A Shift is occurring. It is a change in seasons.

Today, I awoke to a strong command to take a social media sabbatical. This is a big deal for me as I have spent years on the digital battlefield and it is how I fight, how I collect data and how I understand the way God is moving and the assignments He makes in the Spiritual War. I shared this command with my family over breakfast, stating that I thought I needed to break after Thanksgiving until the New Year.

Within the hour I got several confirmations:

  • A waitress I recently prayed with for healing suggested the timeframe
  • A stranger on Truth Social attacked me with vigor
  • A new friend made a prophetic suggestion about my home and farm and my focus
  • I witnessed a jealousy over and blockage of a potential faith/covenant relationship

Then I received an email.

God began using Nate Johnston to guide my family’s journey last spring. It is amazing how Nate’s dreams, visions, and words correlate with mine and my family’s path.

Here, I want to walk you through this word from Nate as I personally receive it and show you the demonstration of God’s amazing Spirit and how He works.

Earlier this week, I had a dream where I was being pursued by wild beasts and lions that were chasing after me. I knew that I was going after the calling that God had placed on my life, and yet I felt like I was being pursued at every corner. Have you ever felt like this too? Then suddenly a flaming sword came down into the road and divided it—separating these beasts from me, so they were unable to get to me.
Then I heard a voice say, “Sever the path. Close the door. Shut all access points. This is a new chapter; this is a new path. Walk in it!”
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21 NIV)
I knew this was an instruction of the Lord to sever and bring closure to areas of the past, but I also knew this was the Lord speaking about how we had entered into a time of the closing of an old door and the beginning of a new one—the severing of an old path and the beginning of a new one. I knew immediately this was for the pioneers who’d been pioneering on a particular journey for such a long period of time. It was for those who’ve been in transition for a long period of time and have been walking a certain way, they have now become familiar with the different aspects of the road—the different enemies, the different hurdles, the different issues, and the specific terrain. But I knew this was the Lord now saying, “Hey, this new path you’re about to walk on is going to look very different from what you’ve known.” I also knew it was the Lord speaking about the ending of a season of warfare and opposition and the beginning of a season of protection and favor, and the restoration of joy and strength.
I knew this was the Lord speaking into a new path and a season of time where we will have the ability to focus on the building rather than just the defending—like Nehemiah in the rebuilding of the wall where his people had to constantly hold a sword in one hand and a building tool in the other. This would be a season where we can use both hands and all our effort and might can be focused on the building, where we won’t have to constantly keep defending ourselves from the ravenous beasts that have been at our doorstep.
A scripture came into my spirit instantly;

And a highway will be there;
 it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
No lion will be there,
 nor any ravenous beast;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Isaiah 35:8-10 NIV

I knew this was the Lord speaking over us: that we are entering a new path and journey—we have turned a corner! Many of us are leaving the tiresome road of constant battery and battle and we are entering a season of offensive occupation and fulfillment. Just as David had his season of being alone in the wilderness having to defend his sheep and fight bears and lions, we have been in this season too, wondering when the purpose would meet us and when we would finally leave the wild goose chase of spending all of our energy on putting out fires and defending ourselves and our families against invaders.
Now the Lord says, “You are entering the season of seeing what the battle season was for, and instead of being invaded, you will now invade the enemy’s territory and take back what was stolen! Now you will see what the tempering and refining season was forging inside you and your divine purpose being unveiled. You are entering a highway of holiness season—a path for the set-apart ones who haven’t wavered. This is where you will see the fruit of your blind yes.”
It’s going to be a time and a season when we’re able to focus completely on what He has given us. It will be a time of revelation, a time of renewal and strength, and a time of restoration of joy for this long season behind us. We’ve had to war, contend, stand battle for the promise but now we are entering into a time of peace and rest.

Nate Johnston

In this first section, I want to point out that, years ago, God gave me the scripture:

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Isaiah 30:21 NIV

In fact, I have shared this very scripture with a dear friend as a point of prophecy more times than I can count. So, when Nate began his email with this very passage, I knew instantly that God was saying: Pay attention, Stacie! This one is for you. Any of you who have walked along with me over the last year or two will see my experience clearly addressed in Nate’s opening.

Additionally, A few years ago, God put Gideon on my heart. As I reread the account, I knew that God was preparing me for a wilderness season where I would lose my support in the physical so I rely only on Him. Last June, I began to hear Nehemiah. It’s amusing because these are well known, but rarely discussed Old Testament personalities. I have had to read their histories over for myself with the lens God is giving me. I saw Nehemiah as representative of God’s people building their section of the wall, without criticism or competition, to protect what God is establishing. We have had to build and fight simultaneously because every spiritual force of darkness is coming at us. It is no coincidence that Nate was shown Nehemiah.

He continues:

WATCH ME DEAL WITH THE LIONS
I felt the deliverance of the Lord coming to many right now and the Lord said “And now watch me deal with the lions!” I knew this was for those who have been in the thick of the battle over their lives, families, and destiny—where the enemy has sought to take them out and discredit them. This season, watch as the Lord pursues the lions and clears your name. Now you will enter the new path unscathed.

SEVER THE ACCESS POINTS
I felt the instruction in this revelation from the Lord was really quite simple, but it is something that we have to be intentional about right now—maybe it’s going to even take a few months. The Lord is wanting us to take care of the areas—the access points—where the enemy is constantly getting to us and keeping us tethered to the past season. This is the time when the Lord is really wanting us to deal with the areas where we have been double-minded and doubted Him.  From around October 2022, through to even now, there has been an assignment of full assault trying to bombard God’s people and stop them from entering this new path so that they would not see the promise in the days to come. It was the enemy’s attempt to thwart the fulfillment of the promise that he could see coming to those who have stood and walked faithfully through years, even when the path didn’t make sense. But these access points have been vital areas of hearts that, when compromised, have caused many to turn and walk away, or to settle for an inferior and counterfeit path. Don’t settle!

BREAK UNEQUALLY YOKED ALIGNMENTS
In this instruction, I also felt that it was crucial to bring closure to the relationships and the ties that have been unequally yoked for some time. Often, we can stay in connection with people who have drifted from the path because we feel a sense of loyalty to them and don’t want to see them in a bad place, but in doing so we can hold ourselves back from the path and even drift from the path ourselves. There has been a massive push from the enemy to put stocks on the feet of those moving forward by tethering them to people and the expectations from past seasons. Look for the “blast from the past” situations that reveal themselves in the next few months and deal with them quickly. This plan of the enemy has come with a controlling spirit, guilt, and condemnation that you are leaving people behind but the Lord showed me that these people are simply not willing to move where God is moving so they would rather hold you back. Discern the game at play and sever the ties!
Also, check your alignments right now. Are they freeing you and empowering you or policing you and forcing you to submit to a false sense of covering that actually lacks true Kingdom covenant connection? You need covenant connection on this new path and nothing else—let that be your standard. Anything less is unequally yoked and in due time will trip you up and lead you back into the path of endless chatter and conflict.
This is a time when God’s going to deal with the wrong alignments—the wolves and the lions—that have been waiting and crushing you at every point. God is going to shut down every access point so that we can move into this new season uncluttered and completely focused on what He is leading us into. Get ready for a time of new relational alignments. Get ready for a time of the Lord leading you to people who will be selfless, people who will lift your arms up. A tribe of people who will get you well-—you don’t have to explain yourself to them anymore and you don’t have to beg them to be in your life to do things with and run with. This will be a time and a season where you’ll find the people that get your heart and who will surround you. So get ready for a new tribe in this season—in this new path—for just as the enemy has been roaring around like a lion looking for those he can devour through wrong alignments the Lord is dealing with his plans and is aligning and connecting you with people who will be for you and stand with you.

Nate Johnston

I spent several years in an alignment that I thought was a Kingdom Covenant alignment. We even discussed covenants and contracts and the other half wrote about our conclusions to massive audiences… never mentioning me or acknowledging my existence… taking all credit for my spiritual discernment. As I read this instruction, tears flowed. Over the last 8 months, every access point has been closed. Any alignments that are not Kingdom Covenants and do not see my heart, or do not share my heart… I’m laying them down. I won’t feel guilty about it anymore. They chose not to walk in the path. Free will is important. That said, I need time to rest in Him for full healing. It has been an incredibly difficult year and I must clear the clutter and set my feet firmly on the path that God is directing me in.

No mixture, no compromise, no settling for counterfeits…

NO BACKUP PLANS
Even recently, Christy and I felt the Lord speak clearly and say, “I don’t want you to have any backup plans. Cut the cord!”
I think it’s quite a normal thing for pioneers when the Lord calls them out into the deep, for them to begin to plan for a backup route or path. Because as pioneers know, sometimes the seasons the Lord leads us into don’t look like successes at first. In fact, quite a lot of the time they feel like failures—things fall apart and things don’t work. It could become easy to develop a backup plan “just in case we need it”, but I feel strongly the Lord saying, “Don’t! I do not want you to have any backup plan this season. I want you to be all in on what I’m doing.”
I feel there’s an instruction in these words from the Lord to completely sever and do away with the past season and to devote this new path and this new season to the Lord where we have a hundred percent focus on where He’s leading us and what He’s leading us into. What does that look like for your path—for your life and for your family?

STOP CASTING YOUR PEARLS!
The Lord says, “The enemy will not have any access point to you if you are protective of what I have given to you.” This is a season the Lord doesn’t want you to cast your pearls anymore before the swine. This is a season He doesn’t want you to continue forfeiting the call on your life or handing it over to other people you feel are more capable of running in that calling. This is not a season to hide, a season to be quiet, a season to run, or a season to put your calling on the shelf for another time. This is a season to step into all that He’s called you to be with no beasts at your door and with no constant attacks and arrows flying at you from every corner—you will be able to fully step into the call that God has for you.

PURSUE THE GIANTS IN THE LAND!
This is a season the Lord wants you to pursue the giants in the earth. “This is a season,” says the Lord, “where I am taking you from a place of being pursued to you becoming the pursuer. You are going from being constantly attacked and constantly persecuted to a season where you will persecute the enemy and you’ll unveil, reveal, and expose his plans to the world. In this season, I’m flipping the script and I’m overturning the tables where you had enemies constantly at your doorstep trying to prevent you from entering into the promise. This will be the season where you foiled their plans and you lead many others into their promise. Will I not do it?” Says the Lord.

Nate Johnston

My physical home is a mess. The girl that sold it knew it was a mess. The floor flooded the first month. Half the electric outlets don’t work. We had no showers and few sinks in working order. The gutters all need cleaning and replacing. The barn needs reconstruction and a roof. The heating and air doesn’t work properly. The fireplace is not useable as a real fireplace. Everything has fallen apart around me since May. My husband lost his job without notice the week after we moved in. We had no income from May through October. The group of people who encouraged us to make this leap and establish a community aiming for self-sufficiency and a small church where we could worship without a platform… they have every one turned on us and deserted us. There’s no Plan B.

It does not matter. Let me say that again…

It. Does. Not. Matter.

God has called us to this. He told us to prepare a place. We are walking in obedience. End of discussion.

We serve a living, loving, powerful God… and He has never failed me yet. Wait and watch.

AND YOU WILL FINALLY BIRTH IT!
And then I heard the Lord say, “And now comes the birthing that has been delayed! I’m cutting off all access points so that the birthing suite will be safe for you to birth what I’ve given you to birth!”
“This will be a season,” says the Lord, “where you will be able to completely feel safe. Many have been waiting for a long season, many have been waiting for an environment and a habitat that feels safe for them to birth what I have given them—and this will be that season,” says the Lord. “It will be a season where you do not have to look over your shoulder anymore, waiting for something that is trying to take you out. This will be a season where you’ll feel peace, the release, and the ‘go’ to finally plant your feet and birth what I’ve given you, and you will build in peace,” says the Lord.

IF YOU DREAM IT I WILL BUILD IT
“You will have the resources, you will have the funds, you will have the support to be able to build what I’ve given you. You will have the infrastructure, you will have the plans, and you’ll know that it is a season, a grace, and a time to be able to establish what I’ve given you. You will wander no more—you will stop looking and you will not have to continually be seeking—but you will find and you’ll establish your feet and plant your feet in the land that I’ve given to you,” says the Lord. “You will finally build and establish that which I’ve put on the inside of you. But will you dream with Me or will you keep looking at your circumstances and letting them taunt you? For if you dream it, I will build it! “

LET THE OLD PATH GO
As I was talking to the Lord about all of this, I felt a strong sense of needing to surrender everything that I had walked through and was still carrying—mindsets, fears, people, all of it! So what was I carrying?
“Your directions and your will,” I heard Him say. Ouch.
“Your failures and thinking this will end badly,” I heard Him then say. Ouch again.
“Ok Lord, I lay it all down. I have to step into this with fresh eyes and a heart uncluttered.”
Will you lay it all down and surrender everything? I feel such a fear of the Lord over this new path. It feels like holy ground and we shouldn’t step into it with the same familiarity—we need to leave that on the old path. What do you need to let go of? What about the people on your old path that didn’t—or couldn’t—come with you? On this new path, you can’t be focused on what other people are doing and saying or you will miss what God is doing. You can’t look around at Sodom like Lot’s wife did and also be able to hold your gaze with Jesus. You are going to have to tune out the disapproval and noise of others and make the only thing you hear and see the King of Glory.
Let it all go…

Nate Johnston

What I’m doing… what we’re doing as a family… it’s scary. It’s difficult. God has brought us through a season of refinement and it’s time for me to step completely out of the boat. He’s given me a strong husband to stand with. We must let everything else go. We must tune everything else out. It’s time for a sabbatical, you see? I pray that many of you do, indeed, see… and will join us on this new path… after we have all had some time to declutter. This is the shift.

A DETOUR FROM THE HUSTLE INTO HOLINESS
And lastly, let me speak from the heart. I have felt such a strong intentional pull away from the old wineskin of the hustle and busyness. In this season you will fight fewer battles as you leave the busy and embrace rest. It will require saying “no” more often. There are opportunities and doors that look and sound good but they are stealing the peace and energy needed for something else—discernment is needed to know what is from God for you and what is for someone else. You will have to truly discern and know what you are called to do and what you aren’t, and be unapologetic about turning away what isn’t ordained by God for you and your family.
– Leave the hustle: It only hurts you and puts you in dangerous situations.
– Don’t let people buy you or let your anointing be sold.
– Let this be a season where the Spirit of Holiness comes upon you and leads you on the path of the redeemed.
ALL FOR JESUS!

Nate Johnston

My prayer, dear friends, is that we will rejoin in a short time. My prayer is that God is going to use this time to pour into each of us in new ways that we can’t even imagine. My prayer is that He is using me as a pen in His own hand to write His own words and He will touch His people and teach His truth through what He produces during this time.

See you on the other side of The Shift…

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Matthew 7:13‭-‬23

Two weeks ago, a dear friend sent me an interview with Jessie Czebotar. Jessie claims to have been born into a very high ranking family in the Illuminati brotherhood. It seems to be a common occurrence that God places mindblowing information in my path these days, so I had to follow this trail.  In the interview, Jessie describes spiritual entities that custom order spliced dna bodies to inhabit. Now, I know this is out there… but please suspend your disbelief for a few moments and consider.  Why would she lie? What would it gain her?

I began to reflect and consider some evidences from my own experience.

  • I know that there is a physical and a spiritual realm.
  • I know the two realms intersect, coexist, overlay and interact.
  • I know there are evil spiritual entities and they seek physical ways to manifest.

Could those entities use an unnaturally made body? Could they use nanotech? How many accounts that we interact with on social media have an actual person behind them? How many are actually entities that are using technology to manifest?

Is it possible that evil has figured out how to splice DNA to design a body (flesh) with a mind (soul) but devoid of spirit?

Could those created babies be produced through breeding programs for the express purpose of housing principalities and unclean spirits?

As I pondered these questions, I received a second video of Jessie.  This one was a presentation.  It is not easy to hear.

As I listened to this testimony, something opened in my understanding. Maybe it was spiritual. Maybe it was pineal. Maybe it was third eye.  Maybe they all refer to the same thing? All I know is that I was warm, my consciousness flooded with light, and I understood.  I could see how they did it.

Infiltration, not invasion.

In that first interview, Jessie shares the religion of the Illuminati.  They promote bloodlines, a Jesus Strand… they look for female children who are born of certain lineage. They believe that some bloodlines go back to Cain… or even further, to the child of the devil and Lillith (not Eve). They believe Mary Magdalene was such a female child. Although Lucifer is a Latin name for the phrase ‘morning star’, ‘planet Venus’ or ‘light bringer’, they worship a character called Lucifer. This is deception. They also push the narrative that Jesus of Nazareth is actually Lucifer… which is why He called Himself ‘the light of the world’. They promote females. Jessie shares information about their queens and mothers of darkness. Baphomet is a transgender god so gender confusion and dysphoria are involved in their religious practices. Child sacrifice has always been integral to those who worship Baphomet, Baal and Molech. This *is* the doctrine of the Illuminati.

I am nearly convinced that we exist in Revelation 20. In The Beginning and the End biblical prophecy is discussed within the possibility that we live in a season of deception, post millennial reign. If this is the case, several pieces of a complex puzzle fall into place.

Let’s say the devil infiltrated the church after the first resurrection at the beginning of the season of deception. Humanity went through a transition period that we call ‘The Dark Ages’ where history was erased and altered. Out of this infiltration came Roman Catholicism as “The Church”. It would explain the prominent position of Mary in the Catholic religion, the controlling and political hierarchy, as well as the “Church Authorised Catholic Bible”. The Church controlled many areas of knowledge including education, science, medicine and exploration.  The Church literally controlled the thrones in various kingdoms. Until truth seekers began to challenge that control.  People began to read the bible for themselves and saw a very different New Testament church to what they saw in Catholicism. The alternative is that The Church was becoming too powerful and a faction of the Illuminati decided to create some competition through Protestantism.  Either way, Protestantism was born and with it, denominations that would keep well meaning people of faith fighting amongst themselves in perpetuity. Each denomination had its own little slice of Illuminati infiltration… religious hierarchy. The goal of religion has remained constant: to put a code or a man between a soul and God. So, the scriptures were put together to include certain letters to certain churches.  A vote was had to determine the nature of Jesus Christ. And everyone agreed to sell it as the infallible Word of God, written by God directly, and that’s the *only* thing that sets it apart from all other religious texts. Various denominations proceeded to entrench various false doctrines through their established hierarchy and… the rest is history.

Ravenous Wolves came in.

Humanity went from infiltrated Catholicism to infiltrated Protestantism to infiltrated Evangelicals… it has *all* been infiltrated. It would take volumes to discuss every false infiltrated doctrine that demonstrates how faith has been perverted, so that’s for another time. We must address a few examples that seem pervasive as of late, however.

  1. The doctrine of saints and angels: I have several dear friends who grew up in Catholicism.  They have eagerly shared inherited prayer books with me, only to discover that I was appalled by what I read. In every situation, the prayers were written by a nun under ‘divine revelation’. They always begin with the story of the divine encounter, describe the approval by the Pope, and then list the terms of the contract if one says the prayers a prescribed number of times daily. None of this is biblical in any way. It imposes a contractual relationship between the believer and God. It makes promises on behalf of God (speaking for God) about when God will appear to the faithful believer, how God will release souls from purgatory, how God will grant salvation to others because of the believer’s piety.  None of this is in any way biblical, of course… under any covenant. There is a decided doctrine of Saints (as determined by ‘The Church’) and angels prevalent among most professing Christians. Most believers turn to nuns and angels that most often look like women in times of need. They keep statues, paintings, medallions and pray to them or through them.  These are always in homage to something other than Creator God and often a female.  Why a female? That’s where the illuminati doctrine comes in.
  2. The doctrine of believer’s authority and godspark: Most of my friends are devout Protestants.  They’ll come against the poor Catholics with much vigor.  So they must have a better idea of where their cosmology originates, right? Wrong.  They rarely realize that all of the Protestant denominations came out of Catholic reformation and brought the infiltration along. Now we have a whole segment of evangelicals who push Kenneth Hagin’s Believer’s authority doctrine in one form or another.  The New Age/Gnostic version of this doctrine is taught as a godspark in all of us giving us the ability to manifest certain realities through collective consciousness.  The common link is an illuminati doctrine that denies God Most High and a divine will, plan and purpose.  God is replaced with the idea that we should call the shots both individually and collectively.  Instead of submission to the authority of God through the Holy Spirit, we are told we are God, or we are told what God’s Will is. This is done under the guise of spirituality when it is, in reality, very much a religious doctrine that takes on different nuances.
  3. Illuminati doctrines in New Age teachings: There are many examples of Illuminati influence in New Age teachings. One such influence that seems prolific is the encouragement to pray to or through the archangel Michael. This came through Elizabeth Clare Prophet. General Flynn included a very controversial prayer at a rally a few years ago that came straight from this doctrine. Prophet claimed God, yet was entirely in opposition to ancient teachings of God. She promoted the powers of darkness and knew that what she promoted came from fallen spiritual entities… she called them angels, though they were more likely ‘sons of God’. We read about them in the Bible, Jubilees and Enoch.  She was under overt demonic oppression and when we compare her teachings to those of the Illuminati, they mimic each other. Louise L Hay was the New Age Guru who began the doctrines of positive thinking and ‘good vibes’ manifesting. These two women are where we get all of the doctrines of twin flames, angelic worship, ascended masters, lightworkers, etc. We now have entire movements who chunk the Bible in the bin and turn to these teachings as the true faith. A good friend was approached by two accounts and told he was Michael. One account claimed to be his angelic wife. They concocted an entire narrative about how he had fought with Lucifer (a white hat) after he (Michael) had turned against God. As Lucifer protected God, he cut Michael’s wings off.  Now Lucifer and Michael needed to reunite for a battle and this woman was here to remind my friend of ‘who he was’ so that he would be restored to his angelic station.  Folks, we aren’t even close to anything of God in this nonsense being proliferated… and, when we question, we are told that the accounts have military connections and we know nothing.

So, what are we to do?

First we must determine what to walk away from… and, perhaps more importantly, what to embrace.  Many have turned from the false doctrines sold as teachings from the ‘infallible scriptures’. They recognized the infiltration. They were right to turn from these false doctrines.  I am certain that Peter, Paul, James and Jude in no way considered their letters to the first century believers to be scripture. The revelation of Jesus to John certainly is.  The books of prophecy certainly are.  When God spoke directly to Abraham, Moses, Noah etc… yes- that is infallible.  It is all useful for instruction. However, to conflate Holy Spirit inspiration with fallible humanity is simply wrong.  Even Paul, on occasion, distinguished between his own thoughts and instructions and those of the Lord.  Christians *should* be ok with this. God is perfectly capable of preserving His covenant without a book to replace His Spirit of Truth. So, we need to walk away from platforms and hierarchies, from doctrines and dogmas. The danger in walking away from ‘church’ is in what people are often walking to.  If they are walking to a pure and simple faith, all is well.  More often, they walk to another Illuminati infiltrated belief system and straight into demonic oppression.

We need to embrace a simple faith.  The biblical texts are well supported by contemporary manuscripts found in the Dead Sea caves. We can validate and verify their authenticity. Those 66 books/letters are not all there is. Even if we exclude the gnostics writings, there are works like the books of Enoch, Jubilees, Laodiceans etc. that the first century christian writers were well informed about and referenced in the biblical texts. Were these texts not Holy Spirit inspired? Or were they just not included in what we call the Bible? And how do we get around the fact that the New Testament churches had no Bible? It wasn’t even written yet… so how did God communicate with them? Did God stop communicating with us?

“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

John 15:26‭-‬27

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

John 16:13

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:14‭-‬17

But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

1 John 2:27

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Jeremiah 31:31‭, ‬33‭-‬34 (Repeated in Hebrews)

In fact, I am still trying to find any place in the ‘infallible word of God’ where God instructs us to read the New Testament as His word. I am struggling to find a single verse that instructs us to sit under a preacher, or go to seminary, or submit to a doctrine.  What I see is Apostles who travelled with Jesus and were filled with the Holy Spirit writing instructions to believers who were filled with the Holy Spirit and following Jesus. We must remove ourselves from under all ungodly authority,,, especially that which poses as Godly. Respect the biblically ordained shepherds (always multiple and not evangelists) and expect them to watch over you as men who must give an account.  Other than that, your relationship is a covenant with God.  That’s what Jesus died to reestablish for you. That’s what the first century apostolic churches strove for.

When will we return to this example?  The path is narrow and the way is hard and few believers will find it. Most ‘church people’ will hear, “Depart from Me, I never knew you.” I can think of nothing more heart-wrenching.

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Creating Intergenerational Division https://livingwatersfarm.church/modern-christian/creating-intergenerational-division/ https://livingwatersfarm.church/modern-christian/creating-intergenerational-division/#comments Wed, 23 Aug 2023 21:30:00 +0000 https://livingwatersfarm.church/?p=3480 The ‘News’

My work laptop has multiple browsers installed (in keeping with New Testament Churches and the example given, I am not a full time ministry worker – I have a ‘day job’). When you work around technology, and work with different companies, you learn that it is best not to just rely on one web browser. I have my ‘go to’ favorite, but I have other options too.

Anyway, this is a long way around to say that when I open my least favorite browser I see the latest ‘news’ headlines. (I put this in quotes because, in my view, they ceased to provide news a long time ago.)

Driving Disunity

I’ve noticed a very concerning trend that has been consistent for sometime now. There is an active push to drive a wedge between Millennials and the Baby Boomers. There is now, also, a push to drive a wedge between Gen Z and the Baby Boomers.

Take today (August 23, 2023), as a typical example. Just scanning for a few seconds, I see:

I had not realized just how many there were until I actually looked. I had seen 2 or 3, but not 21!!

I do not believe in coincidences, and it is certainly no coincidence that a single site, msn, just happened to find 21 articles fomenting inter-generational strife all in the same day.

We can also see that there are a few articles that are critical of Gen X, and grouping them in with the Baby Boomers.

At the same time, they have an article that is “trying to understand” the “Boomer Hate” – as if they were not the ones creating the intergenerational “hate” in the first place!

What can we do?

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

Galatians 3:28–29

Unity of Spirit will lead to unity of thought, resulting in there being no way for the enemy to divide God’s people.

However, many church leaders seek to create unity of thought, believing that ‘forcing’ this will lead to unity within the body. Unfortunately, there is only one way of achieving unity of thought without first having unity of spirit and that is total totalitarianism.

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says,

“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”

Ephesians 4:1–8

Ah but, I hear you say, Paul did also talk about unity of thought:

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers.

1 Corinthians 1:10–11

As you can see, this is true. However, how do we achieve this without unity in Spirit? It is simply not possible, and still to be true to our Faith. We must pray to God for the Holy Spirit to guide us, to teach us, to lead us and speak through us. Only then can we achieve unity – in Him.

Guard Yourself

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Matthew 6:22–23

The most important thing we can do is to protect ourselves from consuming the information – images, text and sounds – that will cause us to turn our back on Christ. This could be in the form of encouraging our disunity.

Identity politics is all about ‘divide and conquer’ – but that is a topic for another day.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:2–4

Protect yourself, protect those you love – especially your children – from the influence of the enemy. Being in the world but not of the world it is not possible to completely protect ourselves, without becoming a hermit, but it is our highest duty. This is one reason that we are to pray without ceasing – meaning that we constantly ask God for his wisdom, guidance and help.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:16–22

Search the Scriptures https://livingwatersfarm.church/new-wine/search-the-scriptures/ https://livingwatersfarm.church/new-wine/search-the-scriptures/#respond Mon, 21 Aug 2023 19:57:56 +0000 https://livingwatersfarm.church/?p=3437

But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.

Matthew 22:29

And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen, and you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe the one whom he has sent. You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?

John 5:37‭-‬40‭, ‬45‭-‬47

Recent revelations have encouraged me to rethink the bible.  It started with an observation of harsh arguments regarding the ‘real’ bible as opposed to the ‘rewritten bible’ or a bible where important books have been removed and hidden.  Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I love the scriptures. I quote them constantly and I have a good working knowledge of them for easy application.  I operate from the premise of understanding that we are creations of a divine being much larger than we could possibly comprehend.  He’s certainly big enough to preserve the knowledge He needs us to have in order to reestablish a covenant relationship with Him.

That being said, the traditional church doctrine of the bible as ‘the infallible word of God’ is a false doctrine. I know that’s provocative so please let me explain.

  1. There are multiple versions of the bible translated differently.
  2. There are versions of the bible paraphrased.
  3. There are inconsistencies in biblical accounts of the same event.
  4. Our current bible looks nothing like the first century scriptures and there are missing pieces.

A friend recently asked me: So what do we do? Throw out all the bibles?

Absolutely not!  We put the scriptures back in their proper role and stop allowing the bible to become an idol.  Ever think about that? Is the bible an idol to modern Christians? What is its proper function?

What did Jesus and His apostles consider scripture?

When Jesus spoke to the Pharisees about not knowing the scriptures, to what scriptures did He refer? The Old Testament, obviously.  These were the Jewish teachers of the law, they had memorized the scriptures without understanding. And they also had scriptures that we are likely unfamiliar with.  Some of the scriptures they would have had include Jubilees, Maccabees, Enochs, Esdras, Judith, Baruch, chapters from Daniel (Bel and the Dragon), etc. They had scriptural knowledge that today’s average pastor and evangelist do not have. In fact, most modern Christians would call these books ‘extra biblical or not scripture’. Jesus did not.

When Jesus said ‘If you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote of Me”, He was likely speaking of the scriptural text called Jubilees. This book is very similar to Genesis with a few caveats. Jubilees was written by Moses on Mt. Sinai at the instruction of the angel of the Presence (of God). Moses was born during Egyptian captivity and raised as an Egyptian Prince worshipping Egyptian gods.  He would not have been taught Hebraic history.  He would have held an Egyptian worldview. Once Moses left Egypt, he settled in Midian and married the daughter of Jethro, a priest. We don’t know what he was a priest of. We know that the Midianites were of Abraham’s line by Keturah, they were not the chosen portion. In fact, Keturah’s sons joined Ishmael and became the Arabs.  We know that Jethro met with Moses during the Exodus and worshipped God at that time. We also know that Gideon later had to defeat the Midianites who worshipped Baal. We have no reason to believe that Moses had any knowledge of the history of Israel before God encountered him and commanded him to return to Egypt. So how could Moses have possibly written Jubilees with such accuracy as compared to Genesis?

Where did our version of Bible come from?

Many have been led to say that Moses wrote Genesis as well.  There’s no evidence that this is true… only that it matches to Jubilees.  In fact, Jubilees demonstrates that Genesis was a family history recorded across the generations leading up to Abraham.  Abraham took those books and transcribed them from the ancient Hebrew spoken before Babel. It’s much more likely that Genesis was an ongoing family history first written by Enoch, continued by Noah, then transcribed and continued by Abram. There’s no reason to conclude that Moses had anything to do with Genesis… other than the fact that Jubilees seems to echo Genesis closely. When we take the two accounts together, it becomes obvious why Jubilees was not included in our modern canon. It speaks to Mastema being the Prince of Demons and approaching God as the accuser (the devil). It speaks to the demonic influences that remain in this realm to tempt, ensuring free will. It describes creation in greater detail, demonstrating that Adam and Eve were not the first and only two humans created. It explains that Enoch still lives and is in the Garden of Eden writing the testimony of all generations until the day of judgment. It contradicts many taught church doctrines and common understandings… what it does not contradict is the actual text of Genesis.

I want to propose a timeline… not that this is fact, but a possibility to consider:

  • Circa 30 AD: Jesus of Nazareth dies, resurrects and ascends
  • Circa 35- 100 AD: The Apostles establish the church- small groups of believers in major port cities spreading the gospel (not the scriptures or law) among all people.
  • Circa 100 AD: Many believers have been killed, but mission accomplished- Tribulation begins (Revelation 1- 19)
  • Circa 110 AD: Christ returns (Revelation 20)
  • Circa 110-1110 AD: Millennial reign- beautiful architecture remains
  • Circa 1110 AD: First resurrection, the deceiver (Mastema) is released

At this point, everything created during the reign of Christ is still available.  Mastema sets about destroying, obscuring, and altering all understanding of the Millenial reign and of the original faith. We call this historical era “The Dark Ages”. Then the deceiver sets up a false ‘church’ with twisted doctrine based on twisted scripture and creates a history for it. This church uses Illuminati influenced structures and teachings and calls it the true faith. After a few hundred years, believers begin to question this false church (synagogue of Satan) and break away, yet Mastema uses this to further create confusion and chaos.

The beginning of the ‘real bible’

A new version of the bible is written, and another, and another… then in the 1500’s The Puritans gain popularity under Queen Elizabth I as she restores England to Protestantism (1158-1603). These Puritans approach King James of England. In 1604, King James presides over a meeting of Puritan leaders and Anglican bishops at the Hampton Court Conference. Reforms to the established church are discussed. King James rejects Puritan challenges to church government, citing an observation that He had learned in Scotland: “No Bishop, no King”. He rejects changes to the Common Book of Prayer.  However, he seizes an opportunity to have an Authorized (by himself) version of the bible compiled. The Anglican Bishops agree.

Over the next six years, King James approves a list of 54 translators to review the Masoretic Texts, the Septuagint, extant English translations and Jewish commentaries to guide their work. 47 of these translators participate and are organized into six groups, two working from Cambridge, two from Oxford, and two from Westminster Abbey.  An elaborate set of rules is devised to ensure ‘individual proclivities’ do not influence the work.  Each group is given a section of the existing bible to translate and, as they work, all translation is overseen by the Archbishop of Canterbury through a series of doctrinal conventions. This ensures ‘consistency’.

This new ‘authorized’ version of the bible is published in two editions in 1611, one being called the “He and She” version because of a variant reading in Ruth. Another edition is published in 1631 called the “Wicked Bible” because the Tan Commandments read “Thou shalt commit adultery”. Yet, in addition to printing errors in subsequent editions, the 1611 King James Version is obviously heavily influenced by doctrine, church politics, and a thirst for power. It was never about getting back to the original scriptures as is evidenced with the arrest of William Penn in 1664 for preaching a doctrine of “Friends” (Quakers).

In this series of events, the deceiver (Mastema) creates a church based on false light. He then creates a bible that has flaws and submits to doctrines of men. The Institution of Church, already established, uses this bible to reinforce its doctrines, and teaches the devout that the bible is:

  • the infallible word of God,
  • Complete in all its ways
  • In need of interpretation by the ecclesia
  • Supportive of their individual doctrines,
  • What the apostles meant by scripture…
  • This is all that makes it different from other religious texts

nd just like that, the Holy scriptures are beyond question and replace the Holy Spirit as a guide to Jesus Christ.  The Church determines what we consider scripture. The Church and its doctrines determine our understanding of God and the spiritual. We have a major problem.

God knew exactly what would happen in this season of deception. As faith is increasingly corrupted, we find ancient manuscripts in caves.  We can see where things were added to the Masoretic texts.  We can see where words like gospel, baptize and Lucifer were transliterated to accommodate the doctrinal positions of the church. We can see where some ideas were completely altered (the concept of a Divine Council, the understanding of Adam and Eve, the concept of a spirit realm and how it has always interacted with humanity, the entities called Mastema and Azazel) by translating terms like sons of God to sons of Israel in places where it makes no sense at all. Today, entire denominations will come against more accurate translations as a perversion of ‘scripture’ in defence of their own doctrinal understanding.

And this is the issue… the bible is an idol. It is now used as a weapon and made to conform to a doctrine.  Our doctrines should be made to conform to the scriptures… and all the scriptures. The scriptures that Jesus and Matthew, Peter and Paul, James, Jude and John would have considered scriptures.  This includes nothing of the New Testament. The New Testament consists of Gospels and the Apostles’ doctrine, both of which are critical to our understanding of God and covenant relationship; and neither of which are scripture as referred to by Jesus and the biblical writers.

So no, we do not throw out our bibles! We recognize them for what they are… A guidebook given by God. We recognize the Holy Spirit as our guide into all truth. We recognize that we find God when we seek Him with all of our heart, not when we pick up an easily accessed book. We recognize that Jesus Christ is the infallible Word of God… not the stories about Him.

We search the scriptures… what Jesus meant by the scriptures… not because we think that in them we have eternal life, but because they point us to the way, the truth and the life that can only be found in Him.

Relevant verses from the accepted canon and some counterparts from Jubilees:

They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2 Peter 3:4‭-‬8

And at the close of the nineteenth jubilee, in the seventh week in the sixth year [930 A.M.] thereof, Adam died, and all his sons buried him in the land of his creation, and he was the first to be buried in the earth. And he lacked seventy years of one thousand years; for one thousand years are as one day in the testimony of the heavens and therefore was it written concerning the tree of knowledge: ‘On the day that ye eat thereof ye shall die.’ For this reason he did not complete the years of this day; for he died during it.

Jubilees 4: 29-30

Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. But the Lord’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage.

Deuteronomy 32:7‭-‬9

God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.” Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!

Psalm 82:1‭-‬2‭, ‬6‭-‬8

For all the angels of the presence and all the angels of sanctification have been so created from the day of their creation, and before the angels of the presence and the angels of sanctification He hath sanctified Israel, that they should be with Him and with His holy angels. And do thou command the children of Israel and let them observe the sign of this covenant for their generations as an eternal ordinance, and they will not be rooted out of the land. For the command is ordained for a covenant, that they should observe it for ever among all the children of Israel. For Ishmael and his sons and his brothers and Esau, the Lord did not cause to approach Him, and he chose them not because they are the children of Abraham, because He knew them, but He chose Israel to be His people. And He sanctified it, and gathered it from amongst all the children of men; for there are many nations and many peoples, and all are His, and over all hath He placed spirits in authority to lead them astray from Him. But over Israel He did not appoint any angel or spirit, for He alone is their ruler, and He will preserve them and require them at the hand of His angels and His spirits, and at the hand of all His powers in order that He may preserve them and bless them, and that they may be His and He may be theirs from henceforth for ever.

Jubilees 15: 27-32

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

And we returned in the seventh month, and found Sarah with child before us] and we blessed him, and we announced to him all the things which had been decreed concerning him, that he should not die till he should beget six sons more, and should see (them) before he died; but (that) in Isaac should his name and seed be called: And (that) all the seed of his sons should be Gentiles, and be reckoned with the Gentiles; but from the sons of Isaac one should become a holy seed, and should not be reckoned among the Gentiles. For he should become the portion of the Most High, and all his seed had fallen into the possession of God, that it should be unto the Lord a people for (His) possession above all nations and that it should become a kingdom and priests and a holy nation.

Jubilees 16:16-18

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ Thus you witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to town, so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

Matthew 23:29‭-‬31‭, ‬34‭-‬36

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11‭-‬13

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Hebrews 8:10

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10

For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law. For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

Romans 2:25‭-‬29

And they will make to themselves high places and groves and graven images, and they will worship, each his own (graven image), so as to go astray, and they will sacrifice their children to demons, and to all the works of the error of their hearts. And I will send witnesses unto them, that I may witness against them, but they will not hear, and will slay the witnesses also, and they will persecute those who seek the law, and they will abrogate and change everything so as to work evil before My eyes. (1) And I will hide My face from them, and I will deliver them into the hand of the Gentiles for captivity, and for a prey, and for devouring, and I will remove them from the midst of the land, and I will scatter them amongst the Gentiles. And they will forget all My law and all My commandments and all My judgments, and will go astray as to new moons, and sabbaths, and festivals, and jubilees, and ordinances. And after this they will turn to Me from amongst the Gentiles with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their strength, and I will gather them from amongst all the Gentiles, and they will seek me, so that I shall be found of them, when they seek me with all their heart and with all their soul.(2) And I will disclose to them abounding peace with righteousness, and I will remove them the plant of uprightness, with all My heart and with all My soul, and they shall be for a blessing and not for a curse, and they shall be the head and not the tail. And I will build My sanctuary in their midst, and I will dwell with them, and I will be their God and they shall be My people in truth and righteousness.(3) And I will not forsake them nor fail them; for I am the Lord their God.’ And Moses fell on his face and prayed and said, ‘O Lord my God, do not forsake Thy people and Thy inheritance, so that they should wander in the error of their hearts, and do not deliver them into the hands of their enemies, the Gentiles, lest they should rule over them and cause them to sin against Thee. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be lifted up upon Thy people, and create in them an upright spirit,(4) and let not the spirit of Beliar rule over them to accuse them before Thee, and to ensnare them from all the paths of righteousness, so that they may perish from before Thy face. But they are Thy people and Thy inheritance, which thou hast delivered with thy great power from the hands of the Egyptians: create in them a clean heart and a holy spirit,(4) and let them not be ensnared in their sins from henceforth until eternity.’ And the Lord said unto Moses: ‘I know their contrariness and their thoughts and their stiffneckedness, and they will not be obedient till they confess their own sin and the sin of their fathers. And after this they will turn to Me in all uprightness and with all (their) heart and with all (their) soul, and I will circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart of their seed, and I will create in them a holy spirit, and I will cleanse them so that they shall not turn away from Me from that day unto eternity.(5) And their souls will cleave to Me and to all My commandments, and they will fulfil My commandments, and I will be their Father and they shall be My children. And they all shall be called children of the living God, and every angel and every spirit shall know, yea, they shall know that these are My children, and that I am their Father in uprightness and righteousness, and that I love them.

I AM https://livingwatersfarm.church/new-wine/i-am/ https://livingwatersfarm.church/new-wine/i-am/#respond Fri, 21 Jul 2023 12:06:41 +0000 https://livingwatersfarm.church/?p=2818 I was troubled in my spirit last week when I received a word from God. He brought my attention to a familiar passage that I often quote:

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

1 John 4:7‭-‬16

I read those last sentences over and over again. Often, we say God is love. If we do not love we do not know God. The Spirit whispered to me… “the converse is also true”.  If God is love then the one who does not know God, can not love. Such a one can not define love or recognize love, appreciate love or abide in love. That is why there is a large demonic push to redefine love.  They actually seek to redefine God… to make God in their own image as an entity they can control. Ever hear of a thing called idolatry?

Words are important. The power of life and death is in the tongue.  Words wound and heal. We have seen a plethora of buzzwords recently.  For years, we were told: Use discernment.  That command was spoken by people who do not profess Christ, do not know God, and will only refer to “Source” who abides in each of us together through collective consciousness.  They make themselves into their own God and fall for the original lie. We were warned about such creatures:

For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

2 Corinthians 11:2‭-‬4‭, ‬12‭-‬15

Do you see it?  This is as old as time itself. How did the serpent deceive Eve?

But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Genesis 3:4‭-‬5

What I am observing as rampant among Patriots is a disconnect from God.  They seek to be God.  I’ve watched for five years as this has developed and grown. These are not people who are ignorant of God.  These are people given over to a desire to be God, to manifest their will, to control.  They seek power and knowledge in order to elevate themselves to a special worthiness that qualifies them for ascension. They blatantly reject the Living God, deny Jesus Christ and denigrate the apostle’s doctrine.  They trade Holy Spirit for Kundalini spirit that they can summon and control and use… without realizing that it is, in reality, using them.

Because they do not know God, Holy Spirit does not abide in them.  They have no discernment.  They guide people, telling them to use a discernment that is not present.  When that word began to get pushback (people knew in their spirit that it was a copout) the Patriot platforms changed.  We began to hear “Take what resonates”. I had a false friend who would say “Take the best and leave the rest”.  That is not of God.  That is not how we pursue truth.  Without discernment, how can we possibly know what should resonate?

They also redefine love. Why? Because God is love and if they are allowed to define love, they define God through their newly established paradigm (idolatry).

I recently saw a ridiculous post by a big platform ‘Patriot’ that read, in part:

  • “God of Bible: (AI)
  • Wants to be worshipped
  • Craves sacrifice
  • Is jealous
  • Bends free will
  • Creates the antithesis
  • Inversion of the truth
  • What truth?
  • Love needs no worship
  • Does not force free will (?)
  • Needs no sacrifice
  • Knows not jealous
  • Not bend you at the knee
  • Lifts you up”

Please excuse the awful grammar… I can only guess that demons don’t go to primary school. This spirit claims that God Most High is actually an alien or evil Artificial Intelligence and that Q is the real God (love)… whoa! Let’s look at how God defines Himself…

Wants to be worshipped:

God has no need of worship.  We worship when we understand that He is worthy of all honor and praise.  God is the creator and sustainer of everything and everything belongs to Him. In Isaiah, God mocks idols that are dependent upon worship. Elijah mocks the prophets of Baal in their fruitless worship, dancing and cutting themselves. Paul addresses this directly in Acts 17:

So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’

Acts 17:22‭-‬28

Craves sacrifice:

God Most High established a sacrificial system for humanity.  It was bloody and heart wrenching and kept the cost of serving ourselves and our will constantly in front of us.

Repeatedly God says He does not crave sacrifice:

David – In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.

Psalm 40:6

Hosea- For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Hosea 6:6

JESUS- Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Matthew 9:13

And again- And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Matthew 12:7

Is jealous:

Ok… so they seem to have us here. After all:

You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are around you— for the Lord your God in your midst is a jealous God—lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 6:14‭-‬15

The trick they’ve played is to redefine jealousy.  See, there are a few related terms: jealous, envious, covetous that carry different connotations depending on the paradigm and culture you are a product of. In England, for example, jealousy indicates an unwarranted or undeserved possessiveness. It’s ugly and to be avoided.  Envy has a more positive connotation, as when a younger sibling practices diligently to best their older sibling’s time in a track race. They envy their sibling’s accomplishment and strive to excel. Most wouldn’t even use the word covet, but it would be more along the lines of jealousy over someone or something that specifically belongs to another. Americans use these words much more interchangeably without the connotations.

So, to recap their definitions with an example:

  • I am jealous of my best friend hanging out with someone else.
    • (unwarranted possessiveness)
  • I am envious of my best friend’s ability to travel.
    • (I will position myself to join)
  • I am covetous of someone else’s best friend.
    • (I want them for my own)

When God says: I am a jealous God… He isn’t speaking within these definitions. He is stating that He is the Creator and Sustainer.  Everything and everyone already belongs to him. When He says He is jealous, He is speaking as a husband. It is not an unwarranted possessiveness. He deserves our loyalty and adoration just as a husband deserves that of his wife. They are using a tactic to redefine words and then define God on their own terms.  That is not allowed.

Bends free will:

How does the biblical God bend free will? Because He asks His creation to submit to His good and pleasing and perfect will? Because He says, “Don’t touch that hot stove, you’ll burn your hand”?  What does Jesus say?

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Matthew 5:43‭-‬48

God is love. Love requires free will, and cannot be forced. Love will always advise towards what it understands to be the highest good.  Our human love is imperfect and we sometimes misunderstand what the highest good is… but God has no such limitations.

Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah and said to him, “Behold, you are old and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations.” And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them. So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.” But the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said, “No! But there shall be a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.” And when Samuel had heard all the words of the people, he repeated them in the ears of the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey their voice and make them a king.” Samuel then said to the men of Israel, “Go every man to his city.”

1 Samuel 8:4‭-‬5‭, ‬7‭, ‬10‭-‬22

No. God does not bend free will.

Creates the antithesis:

Years ago I wrote an entire essay about the nature of God addressing this very lie. God is about unity.  When He creates light… the absence of light is?  When He creates love… the absence of love is? When He creates life… the absence of life is?  An antithesis is a given and has nothing to do with God or love. What does God desire?

And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

John 17:3‭, ‬17‭, ‬20‭-‬23

Inversion of the truth:

This is pure blasphemy from the mouth of someone who has no knowledge of God or truth.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

John 16:13

So how does our wise spiritual sage who has no clue about things of Spirit define truth?

  • Love needs no worship
  • Does not force free will (?)
  • Needs no sacrifice
  • Knows not jealous
  • Not bend you at the knee
  • Lifts you up”

According to this one, Love/God asks nothing in response to His love, does not care or advise or guide, is perfectly happy to let those He loves run headlong off a cliff to their own demise… just don’t require any submission to His omniscience. And somehow, this ‘lifts you up’ by telling you lies that you ARE God.  This is a self promoting, self serving ideology that misrepresents the one True God in every way.

Instead, it sounds much closer to Marxist, Atheistic, Luciferian teachings. Hail Thyself.

Ancient Egyptian proverbs said: “The body is the house of God. Man, know thyself… and thou shalt know the gods.”  This remains the concept in a New Age revision of the original lie.  No, I am sorry, and you are not God.  You are not indwelled by the Spirit of God. You do not know God. and you can not love.  Stop redefining concepts to fit your narrative and trying to define our Creator through your own idolatrous lens. It is not acceptable.

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Beginning and the End https://livingwatersfarm.church/new-wine/beginning-and-the-end/ https://livingwatersfarm.church/new-wine/beginning-and-the-end/#comments Thu, 20 Jul 2023 22:57:35 +0000 https://livingwatersfarm.church/?p=2805

A decades long quest for truth has led to a close examination of the beginning and the end.  It seems christianity (churchianity) is terrified of the beginning and the end.  Genesis is taught as a collection of stories, generally following the literary technique of the hero’s journey, and coming into conflict with accepted ‘science’.  Revelation is taught as a complete allegory.  It seems modern churches are reluctant to dig into either the beginning or the end… which places the understanding at the top of my to do list. I admit I have been reluctant to write this essay.  It comes against religion and accepted theology. I am not a heretic and Jesus Christ is the love of my life… so if millions of people are under a misunderstanding because religious institutions have instilled incorrect theology, an examination and presentation of a different and possibly more accurate understanding is warranted. This is especially true if we live in a season where the nations are deceived.

The beginning:

We must understand this in spirit and in truth… in the spiritual and the physical.  Many theories have been proposed regarding God, Lucifer, Satan, Jesus, Source… however, speaking biblically, these entities are rarely explored and often superficially understood.  Most people accept that there are non physical entities in play. What we often fail to acknowledge is that non physical entities are not beholden to physical constructs (for example, time). We also call singular entities by multiple names which tends to muddy understanding.  The main players are actually fairly simple:

God: The Father (original spirit entity which has always existed, Source of energy/logic/frequency and creation)

The Son (an entity that existed before physical creation and through which all things were created, the Word, the Light, the Way to access the Father)

The Spirit (an entity that existed before physical creation and through which the Source interacts with physical creation)

The Heavenly Host: All spiritual entities that make up the spirit realm in submission to God Most High (angels, sons of God, saints (not the RC variety), Divine Council)

The Adversary: Satan (literally: adversary/accuser; there are multiple satans and it is a role not a name), the Devil (a spiritual being that existed before physical creation and interacts with the physical realm to deny connection to the Source)

The armies of darkness: demonic entities, fallen or rebellious angels

  • Notice Lucifer didn’t make the list? Only in the King James translation is Lucifer mentioned, and then in Isaiah. There is credible evidence that Isaiah was referring to a Babylonian king, not the spiritual adversary in this passage.  The association of Lucifer with Satan hinges on Paul saying:

And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

2 Corinthians 11:12‭-‬15

Modern theologians have connected the idea that Satan masquerades as an angel of light to the “Son of the morning” that Isaiah describes. Jesus said: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

Luke 10:18

The idea of Lucifer has been twisted and manipulated throughout history to confuse our understandings of the beginning and the spiritual realm.

Now that the players are loosely defined, let’s look at the beginning…

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:1‭-‬4

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

Genesis 1:1‭-‬5

Combining these two passages, we see that Jesus was the Word by which God (creator source) spoke the physical realm into existence.  We also see the Spirit involved and interacting (hovering) with the physical creation. This is a description of the beginning of the physical realm.  It does not mean that Jesus or the Spirit always coexisted with God (Source).  It does mean that these entities coexisted before God created the construct of time (physical realm) and they have been given equal functions within the God- head. This matters because it impacts our understanding of the relationship of the Trinity and our understanding of Who Jesus actually is… we’ll get back to that.

On the 6th day (evening and morning implies a normal physical day from the beginning), God created humanity.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Genesis 1:26‭-‬27‭, ‬31

Please note a couple of things in this account. First, God gave people dominion over everything He had already created on previous days. Also, God created both male and female on day 6.

Traditional theology teaches that God made Adam on day 6 (and Eve too?) as the first human.  These are the only two humans that God created and all of humanity resulted from their offspring.  What does the Bible say?

When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground— then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:5‭-‬9

No plants had yet sprung up when God created Adam.  We have a theological problem here.  Now, a doubter would evidence this as an inconsistency, but is it really? God is rather notorious for setting aside His portion. What if, early on the morning of the third day, God made Adam from the dust of the ground and created a garden to accommodate him? Another option is that a day isn’t actually a day, but the ‘evening and the morning’ bit seems to negate that. Or we could say that God didn’t actually create plants on day 3, He just seeded the ground. But that view means Chapter one is inaccurate.

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

Genesis 1:11‭-‬13

So let’s return to Adam and bring Eve into the picture. If Adam and Eve were the male and female God created on day 6 and the only humans in existence, they were both created the same day.

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

Genesis 2:18‭-‬22

According to the account, God created Adam (before any plants on Day 3) and brought all of the animals (created day 6) to him to name. When Adam had named all creatures, no appropriate mate was found for him, so God created Eve from Adam.

According to theology, God created animals, then created Adam and Eve on day 6. Theology doesn’t hang together.

A close read of Genesis 1-5 explains the beginning this way:

God began to create.

He created Adam before any other life, showing His purpose for creation.  We are that important to Him.

He created a garden to accommodate Adam and then continued with creation at large.

On day 6, God created animals and humans, male and female.

Soon after, God brought the livestock and birds to Adam to name.

No helper was found for Adam, so God created Eve from Adam.

God walked with Adam and Eve in relationship.

Eve gave in to pride, a desire to be equal to God.

Adam and Eve left the garden, but not the presence of God.

How do we know? Look at the story of Cain and Abel.  Read closely.

Cain killed his brother, and who came to speak with him? What was said?

And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground. And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.” Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch.

Genesis 4:10‭-‬17

From this account, we know that, although Eden was out of the picture, God was still in frequent close contact with Adam and his family. The obvious questions are: who was Cain afraid of and who did he marry? The theological answer is that Adam and Eve had many children who had spread out and started other villages. Does that make sense?

The bible tells us that Eve had two sons.

Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.” And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground.

Genesis 4:1‭-‬2

And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.

Genesis 4:25‭-‬26

When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters.

Genesis 5:3‭-‬4

Eve considered Seth a replacement for Abel. Neither Cain nor Abel are mentioned in Adam’s genealogy, and no other children are mentioned other than those born after Seth.  Where do we get the idea that Cain feared his siblings?

Notice what Cain said to God. God… who still visited and spoke directly to this human family!

Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Genesis 4:13‭-‬14,16

If Adam and Eve had many children who had already gone out from God’s presence, why would Cain have felt that was more than he could bear? Why would those other children have gone out from the presence of God?

It makes much more sense that God created His elect, Adam, and set him apart. He created humanity on day 6.  When He created fish, the seas teemed.  When He created birds, flocks filled the skies. When he created livestock, herds filled the land. And when He created male and female in His image?

He later created Eve for Adam and the history unfolds from there. Cain did not marry his sister.  He went to a people who were not in relationship with God. When his nephew was born, people began to call on the name of the Lord.

Why does it matter?

It matters because we see from the beginning how God structures the physical realm in spiritual terms. He always sets aside His portion, His people, His elect. It confirms the unchanging nature of God. It matters because we need to understand that scripture is consistent and trustworthy. It matters because we must let the Spirit guide us into all truth and recognize that theologians are not the Spirit.

The End: (not really)

Revelation is another area that modern churches refuse to touch. Why?

Could it be that what it says doesn’t match accepted theology and doctrines would have to be adjusted? Would it remove some power structures that have been very lucrative for the established religions and their proponents?

One day I read a single verse in Revelation:

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

Revelation 1:3

This changed everything.  I’d always been taught that Revelation was too controversial, too allegorical, too difficult to understand, too… out there. We have no way of knowing what is literal, allegorical, has happened, will happen.  I recently heard a popular pastor with a large platform state: We’re about to see John bounce around in time and become very confused. He was unable to tell what or when he was seeing.

Really? Because Revelation 1:3 does not sound like it would go along with a jumbled up, confused prophecy. How would anyone be expected to read it aloud *and keep what is written in it*?

Perhaps this pastor, and many like him, are the ones who are confused.  As I said in the beginning (pun intended), if millions of people are under a misunderstanding because religious institutions have instilled incorrect theology, an examination and presentation of a different and possibly more accurate understanding is warranted.

When we read something in the Bible and it does not fit with our theological understandings, our interpretations need to adjust.  We don’t just exclude Biblical truth or twist it about so that it sorta fits.  That is the devil… he’s the one who twists truth to fit a narrative.

I began to dig into Revelation and discovered an entirely new understanding that makes a lot more sense when compared to other prophecy. I need you to flip the off switch to easily offended hearts for a bit.  If you are a student of scripture, you are probably not going to like what you are about to read.

We are given a false choice in our belief about end times.  Books have been written ad nauseum about end times views and I have read more than I care to recall. What they never do is a scriptural deep dive to connect the dots and use everything we are given to come as close as possible to truth.

So I set out on a quest. No agenda. No need to be ‘right’. Just trying to determine which of, if any, the views most closely aligned to scripture. I was stunned to find that none of them did.

Amillennialism:

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

Revelation 20:6

Immediately discarded. John says exactly the opposite.

Historic Premillennialism:

According to John, Christ does indeed return to earth and reign with saints for 1000 years. But there’s more wrapped up in premillennialism. Premillennialists are divided into two groups: Historic and Dispensationalist. Historic premillennialists maintain that Israel will undergo a national salvation revival just before Christ returns.  They look at prophecy as being solely about the church.  Therefore, they *interpret* prophecy through the lens of church history and present to determine where we are in God’s ultimate timeline. Historic Premillennialists will describe Nebuchanezzar’s dream in Daniel 2 as various kingdoms and empires that influenced or affected the Church.  Likewise, the 7 churches in Revelation 2-3 are described as seven ‘ages’ of the church.

Dispensationalism:

Dispensationalists add a seven year tribulation to precede the return of Christ and the millennial reign. They believe that Israel will be restored as a nation and God will fulfill His promises to the ethnic Jews after the end of the ‘church age’. Dispensationalists believe that during the millennial reign, the nation of Israel will be given governance over the New earth while Christians will reign spiritually in glorified bodies.  Dispensationalism is the most popularly held belief among modern evangelicals, though the average church goer likely knows little about it.

Postmillennialism:

This understanding is on the rise thanks to a surge of charismatic practices and the popularity of Pastors like Johnny Enlow. For a very long time, the church has languished in a notable absence of power. It can be argued that established religion has sought to consolidate power in the institution and its hierarchy, similar to the Pharisees and Scribes with whom Jesus contended. As a result, many have turned to Wicca, New Age and even Satanism in pursuit of spiritual power and to gain a measure of control over their lives. Postmillennialism speaks to these people from a christian perspective.  Charismatic movements promote the power of Holy Spirit and evidence it with litmus tests of tongues, signs and wonders. Modern Charismatic movements go further, claiming that every believer has all authority in the name of Jesus to command, rebuke, decree and prophesy. They probably don’t realize it, but this is a postmillennialist trap. Postmillennialists believe that Christians will preach the gospel throughout the earth.  Humanity will become more and more Christian.  Believers will step into their rightful role as heirs of God, take back their mountains (of government, commerce, education, religion, entertainment, media, sports) and bring heaven to earth.  Then Jesus will return.

While this sounds great… very empowering… it is not biblical.  Nowhere, in any prophecy, is it ever said that the world will become heaven on earth due to the efforts of Christians and then Jesus will return. In fact, prophecy and scripture say it will look very different to heaven on earth.

To complicate matters further, we are asked to decide if we have a preterist or futurist view.  Preterists believe all biblical prophecy was fulfilled in the first century AD and was never literal, but speaking of events to take place in Jerusalem.  Partial preterists believe all prophecy has been fulfilled except the last few chapters of Revelation.  They do not believe in a millennial reign or a rapture (harpazo) event.

Futurists believe That everything past Revelation 3 is yet to occur.  They believe (through their church oriented paradigm) that the seven churches are actually seven ages of the church and that we represent the last age.

What in the world is a truth seeker to do with all of this confusion?

I don’t know.  This is what I did.

I went to God in prayer and asked for wisdom and guidance.

I read the promise of Jesus Christ:

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

John 16:13

I opened my Bible and I began to read what HE said repeatedly over thousands of years.

This is where I landed…

“We’ve been trained to think that the history of Christianity is the true context of the Bible. We talk a lot about interpreting the Bible in context, but Christian history is not the context of the biblical writers. The proper context for interpreting the Bible is not Augustine or any other church father. It is not the Catholic Church. It is not the rabbinic movements of late antiquity and the Middle Ages. It is not the Reformation or the Puritans. It is not evangelicalism in any of its flavors. It is not the modern world at all, or any period of its history. The proper context for interpreting the Bible is the context of the biblical writers—the context that produced the Bible.1 Every other context is alien to the biblical writers and, therefore, to the Bible. Yet there is a pervasive tendency in the believing Church to filter the Bible through creeds, confessions, and denominational preferences. I’m not arguing that we should ignore our Christian forefathers. I’m simply saying that we should give their words and their thoughts the proper perspective and priority. Creeds serve a useful purpose. They distill important, albeit carefully selected, theological ideas. But they are not inspired. They are no substitute for the biblical text. The biblical text was produced by men who lived in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean between the second millennium BC and the first century AD. To understand how biblical writers thought, we need to tap into the intellectual output of that world. A vast amount of that material is available to us, thanks to modern technology. As our understanding of the worldview of the biblical writers grows, so does our understanding of what they intended to say—and the mosaic of their thinking takes shape in our minds.”-The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible, pgs 15-16. Dr. Michael Heiser

Before we look at prophecy, let’s take a closer look at who Jesus is. (I told you we’d get back to that!) Jesus of Nazareth is not the only Son of God. That isn’t heresy, it’s what the Bible says. If you need a deep dive into evidence, please explore the Divine Council and the spiritual realm. Jesus is the unique Son of God. He volunteered for a rescue mission that would cost His physical life before God established the construct of time.  It is not easy for our humanity to put aside linear time, but we must if we are to understand how this works.  The spirit realm is not within the time construct. It isn’t that God exists in an eternal tunnel and He can see the end of the tunnel and the beginning of the tunnel… He isn’t in the tunnel. He created the tunnel. Time is nothing to God, there is no linear nature. So before God ever said, “Let there be light” Jesus had defeated death. That’s why He was with God in the beginning and everything was created through Him. We are clearly told ‘why’ Jesus has been elevated to the right hand of the Father.

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:5‭-‬11

As a popular preacher says: when we see the word therefore, we had best look at what it’s there for. Jesus is unique in that He was the Son who volunteered for humility and obedience beyond all others. That’s why God highly exalted Jesus, and that’s why Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Now we can dive into some prophetic clues to God’s timeline, a corrupted history, and where we really are in relation to prophecy.

Daniel 9: I believe that Christians have made the mistake of interpreting Daniel’s vision through a Christian lens.  There’s absolutely no need to do this.  If we explore the vision through a Jewish understanding, it becomes clear that the dates were never referring to Jesus or the Messiah, but an anointed one who would rebuild the temple. The destruction by the one who enters on the wings of abomination aligns perfectly with Rome’s destruction of it 490 years later. The Daniel 9 prophecy had nothing to do with Jesus Christ… and why would it? No one in Daniel’s day would still be alive by the time of Christ.  It would be a useless and moot word given to Daniel… for what purpose? To validate the insecurities of a people thousands of years in the future? We do not need such validation.

The rest of Daniel speaks to the end of days. However, it also gives numbers. And the last words of the angel are intriguing… Does he mean the Daniel will die (rest) and stand in his allotted place at the judgment? Or… does he mean that Daniel will be still and wait and arrive at the 1335 days he just spoke of? Or is this a case of multiple meanings exist? I don’t know, but the not knowing is enough to put me off using this prophecy alone to make any firm statements about the New Covenant.

He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days. But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.”

Daniel 12:9‭-‬13

All I am comfortable saying regarding Daniel’s word is that if ‘the regular offering is taken away” with the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD and that’s when the abomination that makes desolate is set up… for three and a half years… then there’s a certain correspondence with New Covenant prophecy here.

Isaiah:

The 53rd chapter of Isaiah is the Jesus prophecy.  It is often read in church.  What isn’t often read are the chapters that follow.  From Isaiah 53 through the end of the book, nearly every chapter correlates to the New Covenant.  Foreigners and strangers will be brought into salvation, God will be the light of the city. Some of the passages are identical to John’s quotes in Revelation. When we read the last 13 chapters of Isaiah, God paints a clear picture of His salvation and reconciliation through Jesus and His restoration of Jerusalem (not Israel). The description corresponds to the New Jerusalem described in Revelation 21.

Jeremiah:

In Chapter 23, Jeremiah mentions the reign of Christ. In Chapter 31, God speaks clearly of the New Covenant He will establish and the New Jerusalem that will never be overthrown again.

Ezekiel:

Beginning in Chapter 37, God gives Ezekiel a vision that closely corresponds to Revelation 20-22. Some commonalities: a New and everlasting covenant, a New Jerusalem, a New temple which nothing will ever defile, judgement against Gog and Magog…

So an examination of Old Covenant prophecy does indeed correlate with the final chapters of Revelation, after the millennial reign, but what about New Testament prophecy?

Matthew:

In chapter 23, Jesus laments over the temple and the Scribes and Pharisees. He calls them several derogatory names and speaks woe over them.  He finishes by saying:

Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!

Matthew 23:36‭-‬37

Immediately after, in Matthew 24, Jesus prophesies about the end days.

Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place ( let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark… Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

Matthew 24:1‭-‬11‭, ‬13‭-‬16‭, ‬21‭-‬38‭, ‬42

For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Matthew 16:27‭-‬28

Ok… so now we are able to firm up Daniel’s prophecy regarding the abomination that makes desolate. Jesus confirms this as a sign, and it appears to be speaking of the Holy of Holies, but it also says (let the reader understand).  Understand what? We are repeatedly told that we are the temple under the New Covenant. Was Jesus referring to a physical figure sitting in the Holy of Holies around 70 AD when Jerusalem was destroyed?

We also see the tribulation described both in Daniel and Ezekiel now related in detail by Jesus.  He tells those people exactly what to look for and that “Truly this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.”  The religious argument is that He didn’t mean a generation, but an age.  I don’t buy that argument.  Jesus was not speaking in parables. He was telling His closest companions, the men He entrusted to take the gospel to all of humanity, what to be aware of, what to look for and what they needed to know in order to lead appropriately. On the second occasion He stated the ones standing there would not taste death before they saw His coming. Another religious argument was needed to counter this statement. They say that Jesus meant those people would see Him after the resurrection. Except… He did not come in His kingdom and the glory of the Father with His angels to repay each person according to what they had done between the resurrection and ascension. That explanation simply does not fit what Jesus did, yet it exactly fits what we see in Revelation 19 and 20. The way Jesus describes the tribulation and His coming in this passage tracks directly to what John describes in Revelation 5-11 and the coming of Jesus in Chapter 19 and 20:1-6.

In chapters 12-18 of Revelation John describes what is happening in heaven, in the spirit realm. The seals are broken releasing the tribulation, battles are waged in the unseen realm while the tribulation is unfolding in the physical. The final seven plagues are poured out. Then Jesus returns.

My question is this: how can we be sure this didn’t all happen around 73-74 AD? According to Revelation, God does not create a New heaven and New Earth yet.  There is no judgement day, yet. Jesus returns and reigns with His saints, the beast and false prophet are cast into the lake of fire, and after the thousand years, the devil is released for a season to deceive the nations.

How does the rapture (harpazo) figure in?

Revelation 20:4‭-‬6

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:13‭-‬17

This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

2 Thessalonians 1:5‭, ‬7‭-‬10

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thessalonians 2:1‭-‬4‭, ‬6‭-‬12

I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

1 Corinthians 15:50‭-‬53

We get the idea of a rapture from the letters to the Thessalonians who were quite concerned about the return of Christ.  They certainly believed Him when He said they would see it.  The apostles did not dissuade them from such belief. Instead, they were encouraged that the mystery of lawlessness was already at work, Christ had not returned at this point, when He did, everyone would know and they’d be caught up.  This seems to be a detailed picture of Revelation 20 When Jesus returns and the first resurrection takes place… before the thousand year reign.

I want to finish this study off with the next section of Revelation 20

And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.

Revelation 20:7‭-‬11

After an examination of the entirety of scripture, this seems to be where we land in God’s timeline.  It looks like this:

  1. God created the physical realm
  2. The spiritual realm invaded and corrupted the physical realm, so God cleansed it
  3. The damage was done, and, at Babel, God apportioned the nations to lesser spiritual beings (Deut, 32:10) keeping Israel as His portion.
  4. Civilizations rose and fell, God reconciled all back to Himself through Jesus Christ
  5. Jesus said on several occasions that He would return in His audience’s lifetime, the first century churches expected Him to return in their lifetime, the apostles supported this understanding
  6. The gospel went throughout the world (Ephesus, Collosia, Rome… all these churches were in major ports)
  7. The tribulation occurred around 70AD, Jesus returned in the first century, the rapture happened at the first resurrection
  8. The millennial reign occurred
  9. The devil was released to deceive and has been quite busy doing so

We now live in a season of deception.  We can’t trust the timeline or history we have been taught. We must look at archeological evidence and know that much has been hidden and erased. We must acknowledge that much has been hidden underground and in places we are not allowed to access. We must understand that we have to question everything and go to God for understanding as most, if not all, of our accepted doctrines have been corrupted.

Please be encouraged to search the scriptures for yourself.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth, and don’t accept any person as the guide in your spirit… no matter how popular their platform.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
